What is Rust Wrangler Undercoating?

We are a professional Undercoating service that started right here in Somerset County. We only spray PFC because Berkebile has the best rust-protectant on the market. Rust Wrangler decided to focus on service above all else because you can have the best product, but if you're not spraying in all the right places, the vehicle can still rust.  We collected years of experience from some of the top PFC sprayers to perfect our method. We decided to share our technique by turning Rust Wrangler into a franchise and we even picked up quite a few locations last year.

How long does an appointment usually take?

Appointments take 1 to 2 hours, depending on your vehicle. Each car or truck is different, and we like to take our time with each vehicle to ensure that everything has been sprayed. Most
of our customers drop their car off in the morning and pick it up after work,
but we also have a small lodge for anyone who’d like to stay for the service. We have TV and Wi-Fi, but our guests usually just have a good conversation around the coffee pot.

Where do you spray?

We spray inside the doors, the frame, rockers, tailgates, the
hood, behind wheel wells, and everywhere salt and corrosion could hide. At your
request, we can pull your taillights and drop the spare tire. We spray the
entire undercarriage and everything prone to corrosion with a thick coating of PFC that will stop the rusting process in its tracks.

 How does PFC work?

PFC is a penetrant protector and lubricant. It penetrates
through any pre-existing surface rust and then adheres to the good metal below.
Rust is just a redox reaction; this protectant works by suffocating the metal
and preserving it in its current state. As long as your coat is greasy and
you don’t see any rust forming, the PFC is doing its job.

How long does an Undercoating last?

Most coats last between one and two years, but we’ve seen
longer. Many variables go into a lasting coat. The weather, car washes, and
different vehicle types can all affect how long you can go before your next
application.

We offer free touchups
in the first 30 days, and discounted applications for returning vehicles. The
best thing you can do for your undercarriage is a heavy undercarriage wash a
few days before your Undercoating and then don’t touch it again until you are
ready for your next reapplication.

How do I book my appointment?

We have our schedule posted live at RustWrangler.com. If
you would like to see prices and reserve your spot today, you are always
welcome to call our office at the number below. I’m happy to answer any
questions that you may have and point you to your local Rust Wrangler!

Why the name Rust Wrangler?

Well, the rust is obvious, but the wrangler comes from my
time working out west. After school, I trail-guided at some ranches for a few
years in the Rockies. I found a good wife, had a few too many close calls, and
was ready to hang up the saddle. We settled down and picked a trade that
everyone needed done, but not many wanted to do.

Is it too late for my Vehicle?

PFC pauses the rusting process in time and keeps your
vehicle in its current state. You’ll have the highest resale value if we can
start with a car fresh off the lot, but it’s rare for us to find a vehicle that
is too far gone for PFC. We have plenty of customers who are just trying to get
a few more years out of their vehicles before the salt trucks claim them.
